On the tongue & the script

The words are Sindarin, the Grey-elven tongue — chosen over the high Quenya for its dimmer, fading register. The script is Tengwar, set in the general use mode of Sindarin (vowels carried as tehtar above the consonants that follow them).

Tengwar is transcribed with Glǽmscribe and rendered in Tengwar Annatar by Johan Winge. The writing systems are the invention of J.R.R. Tolkien. Verify any line against Tecendil in Sindarin mode.

Three songs: Gwannad i-Lû (the fading of time), I Dhae Odog (the seventh shadow), I Dann Haer (the long defeat).
